To lead this exciting journey, we are seeking a visionary project manager / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a passion for sustainability, biology, engineering and scaling impact-driven ventures.

The role
As CEO, you will take the helm of Polybiotic Solutions — defining strategy, driving execution, and building a strong, mission-aligned team. You will bridge science and business: translating research breakthroughs into market-ready solutions, securing funding, and positioning the company as a leader in microbiome innovations. You’ll be the public face of the company to partners, customers and investors shaping the company’s path from early-stage innovation to scalable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development and execution of the company’s overall vision and growth strategy.
  1. Oversee daily operations and manage cross-functional teams (R&D, business development, finance, marketing).
  1. Secure funding through investors, grants, and strategic partnerships.
  1. Build and maintain a high-performance culture that values collaboration, curiosity, and integrity.
  1. Drive product validation, regulatory strategy, and market introduction.
  1. Represent Polybiotic Solutions in media, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.
  1. Ensure sound financial management, governance, and transparent reporting.

Who You Are

  1. A visionary leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong execution skills.
  1. Experienced in biotechnology, life sciences, or environmental innovation, ideally with startup or scale-up experience.
  1. Adept at fundraising (VC, grants, or public-private collaborations).
  1. A strong communicator who can inspire investors, scientists, and partners alike.
  1. Strategic — yet hands-on — comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  1. Committed to ethical, sustainable innovation and long-term impact.

Qualification

  1. Bachelors, Master’s or PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
  1. 5 or more years of leadership experience, ideally including time in a startup or innovation-driven organization.
  1. Proven success in securing funding.
  1. Fluent in English C2 (Dutch, German, French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus).
  1. Familiarity with EU regulations (EFSA, REACH, ISO compliance) is advantageous.
